True West 2017 Road Trip - Day 14
Nov 01, 2017, Destinations
I rolled into Park City and Deer Valley the previous afternoon and spent the day revisiting some of the great hotel options for my clients in Deer Valley. The Stein Eriksen Lodge has undergone an expansion and is one of my favorite hotels in the area and a great choice for any incentive group. The Montage Deer Valley is likewise a superb 5 star resort with incredible service and the Goldener Hirsch Inn is a much smaller, intimate 5 star boutique property. The Chateaux at Silver Lake, the Silver Baron Lodge and the Lodges at Deer Valley are high quality, 4 star properties that won’t disappoint and are perfect for all but the most demanding guests. All of them have numerous room configurations, giving them massive flexibility when it comes to accommodating groups of all sizes. So for demanding clients Deer Valley is one of the great destinations in the West.
The town of Park City is filled with boutiques and restaurants and the wildly popular High West Distillery and restaurant, always packed on every night. The Sundance Film Festival makes its home in Park City and the turns the historic streets into a mecca for star-gazing as visitors and the Hollywood elite descend on it each year.
But the reason I was making this visit today was to connect with some of the venues that I can use for our True West clients wanting to combine some exciting ranch activities along with the best luxury accommodations. True West has access to a private ranch just east of Park City where we can plan 2, 3 or 4 days of action-packed incentive activities, including some VERY exclusive offerings for CEO-level executive retreats. These can include 4-wheel Razr excursions into the mountains of this private ranch, fly fishing with professional instruction on the private stretch of river or in the stocked ponds, horse rides, skeet shooting and even guided Elk hunting expeditions for serious outdoorsmen who want the ultimate challenge. And that’s just the summer activities. In Winter we can offer snowmobiling, dog sledding, more hunting and of course, world-class skiing on the Park City or Deer Valley slopes. What is great is that our ranch partner is entirely flexible so we can create our own program just for your group. Then your guests can relax back in their luxury lodging and eat like kings and queens in the great local restaurants.
With the Salt Lake City airport just 45 minutes away this makes Park City and Deer Valley perhaps the most easily accessible Rocky Mountain incentive location for groups wanting action and luxury. I highly recommend you give this destination a try so you can experience all that it has to offer.
